Snowflake Challenge: #2 - Recs

Let's go for some music, huh?

The world was young, the mountains green - words are actually one of Tolkien's poems, set to music and performed by Adele McAllister. I've heard several other settings of this poem - some artists record it under the title "Song of Durin" - but this one's by far my favorite. It's a beautiful, haunting rendition of Middle Earth dwarven history/myth.

Leviathan, The Girl - one of PhemieC's Homestuck fansongs. Her wandering lyrics and eerie harmonies are perfect for a Rose Lalonde song.

Wizard Rock Heart Throb - serves as something of an origin story for the band the Whomping Willows, which was that frontman Matt Maggiacomo was possessed by the spirit of the Whomping Willow because it wanted to be a rock star. It's dumb shit and it is to this day easily my favorite wrock song.

The Durin's Song arrangement is beautiful and perfect -- thank you very much for sharing it! (my favorite of the recs I've found browsing the Snowflake post so far :)
